Have you experienced Mike E. Winfield?  He’s the comedian with the big hair, the big smile and even bigger personality.  Since laughter is Good for the soul, it makes perfect sense to seek a premium quality laughing experience like the one I had at Cobb’s Comedy Club.

A regular headliner in Northern CA, you won’t be disappointed by Mikes performance.  But don’t take my word for it, check the resume:

I asked Mike a few questions and I found him to be as wise as he is funny.

When did you know that Comedy is your “thing”?  Then when did you know that you could make it a career?

I realized that comedy was my thing, when I was in the car with my homies every night going to night clubs, and we’d be clowning the entire night.

From when we picked each other up until we were walking back inside the house at 3- 4 in the morning after a late night breakfast. Jokes for days!

Martin did it, Eddie did it, why couldn’t I?

You touch a variety of subjects in your show, from family and relationships to race in this country. Are there any subjects that you think are off limits for comedians? Or can you find comedy in everything?

Having the skill and intellect to touch on any subject is what makes a person special, especially being able to make a twist that can entertain.

Our culture is currently VERY politically correct, and that will pass like everything else, but for now, no subject is off limits, it’s just how you choose to address it.

Comedy is in everything, and we all can relate. Comedians bring people together through our relate-ability.

Peanut Butter & Jelly …OR…  Grilled Cheese?

PB & J easy. I don’t like a lot of cheese in my system.

What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned so far in the entertainment business?

My most valuable lesson is that you can never stop working, even if you have people doing the work for you. I’m a boss and I can’t forget that.

Can you imagine a life that is better than yours today? What steps do you (should a person take) toward the life of their dreams?  How do you find happiness and the beauty in the process (of becoming)?

Once you decide that you’re going to be happy, that’s all that has to be done. My life is amazing because I’ve made that decision for it to be so. State of mind is how you perceive.

To live your dreams you have to act on it, and not be a person that talks all the time of how you would love to do it. When I decide I want something, I find a way to go and get it.

My mom instilled in me, that you can do and have whatever you want if you’re willing to work for it.

Stay around positive people. Stay in positive environments. Stay around people who encourage and are hard workers. Always be as honest with yourself as humanly possible. Try to love everyone and lead a life for of ambitions, but not expectations.

From what I can see, Mike E. Winfield is a natural (get it). His comedy brings people together by being relatable. He’s not cheesy (insert laugh here).  He has a supportive mother that instilled hard work and humble approach to life.

You can catch Mike E. Winfield at Cobb’s Comedy Club in San Francisco or the Punch Line Comedy Club in Sacramento where he performs frequently.  Upcoming dates:
